A River of Monsters Party? But there is no “real” River of Monsters , of course. And we do not use this birthday party show to say any different! But people fear animals for many reasons and sometimes that fear can get out of hand. This show seeks to “un-monster” these wonderful animals. This birthday party program combines some of the most aggressive animals, alive in the rivers of the world, but is completely safe because the people of Snakes-N-Scales bring it to you.
Animals Living in the River Of Monsters Party!
The Alligator Snapping Turtle, left, grows to be the largest freshwater turtle in North America and has a mean reputation. But the Alligator Snapping Turtle is not the monster it pretends to be! They are usually found at the bottom of lakes hunting turtles and fish. There has never been a recorded attack on humans.
ANIMALS IN THE RIVER OF MONSTERS PARTY!
This living sausage is an Electric Catfish. You may have heard of electric eel…this is a similar animal in that it can produce an electrical current with its body to stun fish before gobbling them down whole! This catfish has been known eat animals that actually weighed MORE than it did! River of Monsters indeed! This Nile River catfish was known, and used medicinally to treat nervous disorders!, by the Ancient Egyptians, 3000 years BC!

The Clown Knife is so misnamed we could spend an hour just on that! The “knife” under its body is a fin, that allows the fish to hover, like an underwater helicopter, as it waits for prey to get too close. Then that same fine can rocket the knife fish forward for a short sprint to tear into the unsuspecting prey fish.

What monster is this? A creature that lives always in the blackness. One that hunts from out of sight and below its preys very feet. An animal with senses more like sharks than anything else. By the time the prey understands the danger, its already being consumed! Believe me you don’t want a River of Monsters Party without this creature of the muds. And yet as scary as it really is, one of its nick names will have you rolling with laughter.

The Soft Shelled Turtle looks like a “cute” turtle. Except its looks hide the most aggressive turtle alive, and that includes snapping turtles! These turtles are speedy and able to do crazy maneuvers in the river. Only an alligator is faster, but the gator can’t change directions as fast as these turtles can. They have a beak than can crush a shell of a smaller turtle or any fresh water clams or shrimp they find. A truly great addition the River of Monsters Party.

The Anacondas are truly terrifying–to their prey! And that doesn’t include us! But if you’re a caiman, fish, capybara, monkey, parrot, boa, frog, duck, baby tapir or even a turtle, then you better be very sure he’s not too close! A River of Monsters Party must!

If the Alligator doesn’t embody the entire idea of what the River of Monsters Party is all about, then nothing does! Amusingly, though they look the part perfectly, they are actually pretty docile toward people and they even take care of their young in gator day cares!

The grand finale of the show is usually a surprise to the participants. The animals seen up to now are all obvious water animals but this one isn’t, so when an Asian Water Monitor pops out of the carrier we generally have to ask the kids to close their mouths. Which were left wide open ! This one is a real surprise in the River of Monsters Party!
The show will include either the Electric Catfish OR the Clown Knife Fish.; an Alligator Snapping Turtle OR a Soft-Shelled Turtle; an American Alligator, an Anaconda species, an Asian Water Monitor and our mystery animal. So every show will include 6 animals.
